GET AWAY FROM IT ALL!!!
Do you ever feel like you want to pack your bags and just take a little road trip even if it were only an overnight road trip? Do you feel like you just need to get away from the mundane everyday routine? Well, this is what we all need from time-to-time. We need to take time for ourselves, and we need to treat ourselves to a little getaway. This is exactly what I am going to do this weekend. I am going to take a little road trip to the beautiful state of Virginia this weekend. I am going to get away from it all!
It has been several months since my family has taken a weekend road trip. These trips are way too short, but it is nice to get away from your local area for a day or two. Today my family will be attending an event called, "Hazzard Homecoming." This is a two day festival starring the cast and crew of the '80's television show "The Dukes of Hazzard." Ben Jones, a.k.a. Cooter Davenport, and his wife, Alma Viator, host a yearly festival, and they donate all the proceeds to local charities. A few years ago, they donated money to a children's hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. My family has not been able to attend the festival since 2007, so we are really looking forward to this weekend.

Sometimes you need to get away, let your hair down, and have some fun. Life is meant to be enjoyed, and sometimes, we need to pack a suitcase, fill up the gas tank, and drive down the road for some sun and fun! From time-to-time learn to get away from the routine life that you have created and go see different areas of this big, wonderful, magnificent world!
