REMINISCE ABOUT THE GOOD TIMES!
Do you remember when? How many of your sentences start with these words when you are around family members or old friends? Isn't it fun to sit back, and think about days of old when life was more simple, and families were always together especially on Sunday afternoons. How often do you have conversations about aunt so and so and how she used to do the jig in the middle of the living room floor not giving a care to the world about what everyone thought. How about uncle so and so who used to tell the dumbest jokes, but you had to laugh out of respect. Reminisce about the days of old especially if the memories bring you joy!
Today I wasn't sure what to write about until I read a friend's status update, and he was explaining that his Dad's birthday was on July 4th, and his Dad held the boxing title while he served in the military during World War II. My friend's status update made me realize how wonderful reminiscing about our family members is and how it brings us joy.
During this holiday weekend and while you are surrounded by the people you love, don't be afraid to delve back in time and laugh about some of the old times that may have gotten you in trouble when you were a child, such as the time my brother pained his tricycle with his hands. So many memories bring us joy. All this reminiscing made me think about the times my family would go to my Uncle Ron's house on Sunday afternoons for his home-made chicken corn soup! He didn't make it on the stove in the house, but outside in a big kettle over a fire. That is what made me choose the picture above. Reminisce about the good times and forget the bad times! Life is beautiful!
