ANOTHER JANUARY OVER!!!

Another January has come and gone. It is sad to see the first month of 2012 come to an end. January was an amazing month! My family celebrated my husband's birthday on the 4th, my mother's birthday on the 6th, and I turned 39 on the 25th! I was also surprised when I was offered a full-time job on the 19th! Plus, my family was finally able to afford to buy a nice, used car on the 17th! Many amazing things happened this month. My family received numerous blessings! January, you were good to us! You blessed us in amazing ways! I will miss you! See you next year!

WHEN YOU ARE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE, YOU WILL RECEIVE MORE BLESSINGS!!!

Today at work I was discussing with my co-worker my new upcoming job that I will be starting next week.  She mentioned to me that my husband and I got another car just in time for me to start my new job. I told her that I do believe that my new job is meant to be, because everything has been falling into place very easily. I had a job interview on a Friday, my husband and I found a car we could afford on the following Monday, we picked up the car on Tuesday, and then on Thursday I was offered the position that I interviewed for. Plus, I was able to work out a two week notice with my present job, because my training doesn't start until February 7! Everything fell right into place at the exact right times. I told my co-worker that this all happened in my favor, because I was very grateful for the part-time job I have been working with her! I told her I loved my job and working with the people there!

I am a firm believer that once you are grateful for what you already have, then you will be blessed with even more! Even if you don't like the job you presently have, be grateful that you have a job! In this economy many people would love to have the position you are currently in! Get grateful and watch your world change for the better!

MAKE LIFETIME MEMORIES WITH THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE!!!

Have you made any memories lately with the people you love the most? When is the last time you spent the day with the people who mean the most to you? It is a good idea to get out of the house once in a while, and go out and do fun things with family and friends. Today my family did just that! We went to what is called Ice Fest, a local festival my town has been hosting for the past 10 years that includes ice sculptures lining the streets, and local artists creating original masterpieces right before your eyes!

Making lasting memories does not have to cost you a penny! Ice Fest is a free event open to the public. I bet your town hosts some amazing celebrations that would not cost you a thing to attend! If not, then you can create your own memories right in the comfort of your own home! Get out the board games, the dvd or videos, invent your own family fun game! Memories can be made at no huge cost! So start looking for ways of making lasting memories every single day with the people you LOVE!

DON'T LET THE NEGATIVE COMMENT OF ONE PERSON RUIN YOUR DAY!!!

As I was walking into work this morning, my one boss looked at me and asked me how my morning was going. I responded, "Wonderful!" She laughed at me and proceeded to say, "NOT FOR LONG! YOUR CO-WORKER ISN'T HERE TODAY!" Then she smirked and walked off.

Now, I could have allowed this negative comment to eat at me and to ruin my day. However, I simply hung up my coat, and I started my day with a smile. I got through my day unscathed with the help of another wonderful lady who filled in for my co-worker, and I ended my work day with an even bigger smile than the one I started with.

If someone gives you a negative comment at the beginning of your day, just let it roll off your back. Don't let if affect you in a negative way, because that is what the person who made the comment wants. These kind of people thrive on misery! You can usually tell by the smirks on their faces or the rude tone in their voices. Never give them the satisfaction of allowing them to steal your joy! Just put a smile on your face, and tell yourself that you will be happy no matter what these naysayers do or say! Always remember: Never allow the rude comment of one person ruin your day!

SAY A PRAYER FOR THOSE WHO MAY BE HURTING!!!

Today on my Inspirational page, I received a few prayer requests for people who are facing some very difficult times in their lives. When people ask us specifically to keep them in our prayers, we should make sure that we do just that. When someone asks me to pray for them, I will send a prayer out to the Universe immediately! It does not have to be a long, drawn-out prayer. It can be a simple prayer, such as "Dear God, Please help (   ) get through this hard time she or he is now facing!"

When others are facing uncertain circumstances, they need to know that there is someone there for them. Someone who will listen to them cry out in their pain. Be that someone who will go the extra mile, and actually pray for the people who need that extra prayer in his or her life. Once you pray for that special someone, then ask your friends to do the same thing! The more prayers that get sent out to the Universe will bring back more peace, love, and positive effects for the person in need. Pray for those who may be hurting!

ENJOY YOUR BIRTHDAY!!!

Today is my 39th birthday!!! One might think that I would be depressed, since I am starting my last year of being in my 30's. However, I am just completely grateful that I have been blessed to be able to enjoy another birthday! I am grateful to spend my day with the two people I love the most; my husband and my son!!!

Some people dread their birthdays, because they are becoming another year older. However, I was excited for my birthday this year!  I look at all the lessons I learned while I was 38, and I look forward to the many more that I will learn while I am 39! I have grown more this past year than any other year of my life!

I have learned to recognize my many blessings! I have learned that I can be happy regardless of whatever circumstance I may be facing! I have learned that I need not hold onto past resentments and hurts! I have learned that it is okay to forgive! I have learned to be thankful for what I have already been given! I have learned to rely on that little voice that lives inside of us and to listen to that little voice when it's trying to get our attention! I have learned to recognize second chances and to thank GOD for them!

Birthdays are meant to be a celebration! A celebration of your life and for who you are and for who you have become today! You birthday is a blessing, so you should treat it as such! Enjoy your birthday! You only get one every year!

REST WHEN YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL!!!

Dear Friends, I apologize for the late post. I wanted to blog something last night; however, my family went out to eat at a new restaurant in our town, and when I returned home, I was not feeling well at all. I didn't even turn on my computer to update my Inspirational page. I lied down on the couch, and I went to sleep very early in the evening. I could have pushed through my stomach upset and logged on; however, I would not have been able to focus clearly, and I would have made my family miserable, because things would have probably upset me very easily. So, I took the evening off, and I rested.

It is very important to rest when you are not feelings well. This gives our bodies time to heal properly. If we keep pushing ourselves, we just get sicker. So, the next time you are not feeling well, take it easy, and even go to sleep early if need be! Rest, rest, rest!!!

GROW AND LEARN EVERY YEAR OF YOUR LIFE!!!

With my birthday being two days away, I have been sitting here pondering what lessons I have learned this year! I have to admit that 2011 was probably the best year I have had in personal and spiritual growth! I have learned many valuable lessons, and I failed at a few tests. However, if I did not fail at those tests, I would not have been able to learn in what areas I need work. With those failed tests, came the realization of how I needed to change in order to become a better, more caring person.

You are probably wondering in what areas I failed. Well, I failed during personal attacks when people were degrading my character. I reacted harshly and with mean-spirited words instead of remaining quiet and walking away. However, those failed tests helped me to learn that I need not fight every battle that is brought to my doorstep. I learned that I do not need to entertain every drama event that I am invited to. I can simply say no thank you and walk away.

During my 38th year here on planet Earth, I learned that I need not hold onto negative circumstances which happened long ago. Petty grudges and past hurts no longer have any kind of hold on me, so I released them into the Universe! I have learned that there are people in this world who will never like us no matter what we do or say to try to win them over to our side. I have learned that no matter how much we may have changed there will always be people out there who will judge us on who we were in years past. Someone will always look at us as if we are still that 18 year old immature girl with the big mouth.

I have learned what is important in life! The two most important things in my life are not things at all; they are my husband and my son! I have learned that life is precious, and we should never take one day for granted, because we are never guaranteed a tomorrow. At any moment, our life here on planet Earth may be over. I have learned to appreciate the simple things in life, such as a sunrise, a sunset, a flower, a warm breeze, the beauty of snowfall, etc. Most of all LOVE those who love us!

2011 was an amazing year! I learned more valuable lesson in this year than any other time period of my life! I thank God for the opportunity to celebrate another birthday! I look forward to all the new lessons I will learn during the 39th year of my life!!!

FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS!!!

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Did you follow your childhood dreams, or did you get side tracked somewhere along the way? Sometimes our childhood dreams can get foiled by the people close to us, and those people may advise us to take our career choice in a totally different direction. For instance, when I was a little girl, I wanted to be a teacher. However, my mother had other plans. She sat me down when I was eight years old, and she told me to get college out of my head. She told me that I would get married and have children like she and my sisters had done. So, I forgot about college, and I got married when I was 20 years old just two years after graduating from high school.

As the years went by, I decided that I wanted to pursue my dream of going to college, so I enrolled in the University of Phoenix, and I earned an Associates degree in Business Management. I was studying for my Bachelors degree when my husband became ill with cancer, so I stopped taking classes. In the last few years, I have struggled finding a job that suited me. I even went back to working in the fast food industry for a few months; however, I was still unsatisfied.

Then just two weeks ago, I received a call from a company that works with autistic children, and they wanted me to come in for an interview. In order to be considered for the position, I had to have five people who knew me well to write me personal as well as professional references. I received the call this past Thursday, and I was offered the job! This is my dream job of working with autistic and behaviorally troubled youth! My college education as well as my patience landed me my dream job!!! I know I will love it, and I followed my dreams!!!

STOP BEING THE EASY TARGET!!!

Do you feel like you go through life with a target symbol on your forehead and that everyone is aiming at you for personal attacks? Do you feel like everyone is coming against you and always finding fault with you? Do you feel like you are constantly trying to prove your worth to these people? Well, my friend, you might just be an easy target, and you do not have to stay that way! Stop being the easy target!!!

Throughout the years, I have had many people use me as their target for their personal attacks. These people have been close friends and close family members. Then one day, someone told me that people come against me, because I am an easy target. These people knew that I would not be able to handle their criticisms, and I would react in a negative manner. So in essence, I was giving away my power, my happiness, and my joy to these negative attackers. So, I was helping to feed their egos, because I was allowing them to get the better of me. So, I had to change how I react in negative situations.

How did I do this? I had to stop being the easy target! I had to stop becoming offended if someone made a rude comment to me. Has this been easy? Heck NO!!! I have even failed and not so long ago. Over the summer, I had someone attack my character, and I failed at how I responded. I should have walked away, but I did not. All I can do is learn from the situation, and remember that next time I am faced with this type of circumstance that I have other options to how I can react. I no longer have to be the easy target for these people who like to create drama and chaos!

YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO CLOSE ONE DOOR BEFORE YOU ARE ABLE TO OPEN THE NEXT ONE!!!

Have you ever gotten so comfortable in your every day routine that you were scared to death to change anything you do, because you were frightened to find out what may be beyond the horizon? Do you find yourself afraid of taking risks that might better your life, because you are afraid that you might fail? Well, my friend, you are going to stay right where you are at if you don't take the chance of closing one door, so another door will be opened to possibly a brighter future. You have to be willing to close one door firmly, so the next door in your life can open!

Did you know that sometimes God will close doors for us? Sometimes, it might be a relationship that suddenly ends, or we may lose a job that we had for a very long time. In these situations, do not look at it as if you are being punished. Look at it as God trying to give you something better in your life. Be willing to let the doors close tightly, and do not try to reopen them! Then you will see the new doors start to fly open!!!

DON'T LISTEN TO THOSE NEGATIVE THOUGHTS THAT KEEP FLOATING THROUGH YOUR HEAD!!!

How often do you talk yourself out of important decisions? Do you still allow the negative comments that people made to you years ago to affect your life today? Are there thoughts roaming around in your mind that tell you that you cannot do something or that you are not good enough? If your answer is yes, then you need to reprogram your thinking patterns, and you need to replace those negative thoughts with positive thoughts that are going to edify you and build you up. It is a personal decision what thoughts you play in your mind and which ones you listen to. Do not listen to the negative thoughts! Replace them with positive thoughts! Start today!

SHARE THE LOVE!!!

When someone does something nice for you, then you should share the love by doing something nice in return. One thing I like to do on my Facebook Inspirational Sayings and Blessings page is sharing other inspirational pages that bring me joy. You can share love in numerous ways. Sometimes I like to send my friends cards with special messages telling them how special they are to me. Do something nice to cheer someone up today and share the love!

EMBRACE THE LESSONS LIFE IS TRYING TO TEACH YOU!!!

Life is constantly teaching us lessons; however, we need to be able to recognize when life is trying to get our attention. We might think that we are having a stroke of bad luck; however, the Universe has something else up its sleeve. The Universe is trying to teach us a valuable life lesson! Are you awake enough to recognize a lesson, or do you go through life grumbling and complaining every time something "bad" comes your way?

My family has been hit with some pretty major issues in the last several years. We can allow these things to bring us down, or we can learn the lesson that life is trying to teach us. For example, when my husband was diagnosed with cancer, we could have allowed that to ruin our family. However, I have learned to look at the lesson that situation has taught us. We now understand how valuable and precious our time with each other is, and we know family is a wonderful blessing. We do not take our time with each other for granted any longer. Then in August, we could have gotten depressed and distraught when I was involved in that major car accident. However, once again we learned another valuable lesson. First we were reminded of our precious time and family, but this situation also taught me patience. I had to wait six months to replace our car, because financially we could not afford to buy another one.

We can get angry when we are faced with difficult situations, or we can learn to look for the valuable life lesson. I have decided to do the later, and it is teaching me lessons that will help others in their daily struggles. Don't run from the lesson! Embrace it!!!

GET YOUR MIND OFF OF YOURSELF AND HELP SOMEONE WHO MAY BE LESS FORTUNATE THAN YOU!!!

What are you going to do this year to help others who may be less fortunate than you? Do you give much thought to helping others? In years past, I have always waited till the last minute to buy things for a good cause, such as Toys for Tots or The Angel Tree Program through the Salvation Army. This year I have decided that I am going to start my shopping early, and I actually started my shopping tonight! I bought a Barbie doll for either program for the upcoming Christmas holiday in 2012. I decided I will check the clearance racks of my local stores for any good deals, and tonight, I bought a Barbie for 50% off the already marked down price! Each week, I will try to add another toy to my collection, and hopefully I will be able to double the amount of toys that I gave this past year. Stop thinking about yourself and start thinking of different ways that you can help someone who might be less fortunate than you! Giving makes you feel GREAT!!!

DON'T WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW!!!
LET TOMORROW TAKE CARE OF ITSELF!!!

One time I heard a minister telling a story about this lady who came to him, and she kept telling him her problems. She was scared to death, because she was worried that her electric company was going to turn off her electric next week, because she knew that she would not be able to come up with the money to pay her bill on time. The minister kindly looked at the lady and asked her if there was anything she needed right now. She immediately said, "Well, yes, didn't you just hear me? My electric is going to be turned off next week, and I have no way of paying the bill." The minister looked at her and said, "I don't think you understand my question. Is there anything you need right now this very day? I am not speaking about next week." The lady shook her head no and told the minister that she did not need anything this very day. So, the minister sent her on her way, and he told her to let him know how everything turns out with her electric next week after the Sunday service.

A week passed, and the minister had to search out the lady the following Sunday. When he found her, he asked her how her situation turned out with her electric. She looked at the minister and said, "You will never believe what happened! I received a check in the mail the day my bill was due, and it was exactly the amount I needed to pay my electric bill! What do you think about that, minister?" The minister simply smiled and said, "Tomorrow took care of itself!"

The moral of the story is don't spend all your time today worrying about something that may or may not happen tomorrow. Enjoy today and let tomorrow take care of itself. Everything usually has a tendency to work itself out for the better.

CLEAR YOUR MIND OF CLUTTER!!!

Is your mind always on the move like a runaway freight train? Do you constantly have a million and one thoughts running through your mind 24 hours a day? Do you lie awake at night for hours before falling asleep, because you keep thinking of what happened today or what is going on tomorrow? Well, my friend, it sounds like you need to clear your mind of all the clutter that is taking residence in the space between your ears!

Most of the time when our mind is cluttered we are thinking about things that don't even matter. If you are a constant worrier, most of the things you are worrying about will never happen. When I think of clearing my mind, I think of the movie, Eat, Pray, Love, when Julie Roberts is sitting in the Ashram trying to clear her mind and the entire time she is thinking about how she is going to decorate her prayer room when she goes back home to New York.

Many things that we think about are a useless waste of time. When we clear our minds of the clutter, we can then enjoy what NOW has to offer us! We can enjoy our time during each of our days, because then we will be focused on the here and now! Get rid of the clutter in your mind, and your days will become more enjoyable!

LISTEN TO THE YOUNG PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE!!!
They Know What They Are Talking About!!!

Do you listen to the young people in your life? We as adults need to learn to focus more clearly on what our children are saying to us. Lots of times our children will tell us things that need to be reported to higher authorities, such as school administrators or the police. Don't allow your life to be so busy that you do not have time to listen to what the young people in your life are trying to tell you. You might just save some lives! Listen to what the young people in your life are trying to tell you! They do know what they are talking about!
