TAKE TIME TO VISIT FRIENDS AND FAMILY!!!
Today my family received a nice surprise! My husband's niece and nephew were in town for another family member's birthday party, and they decided to stop over to our house and visit us for a few hours today. We have not seen this niece and nephew for nearly 10 years, so it was nice to sit and chat for a few hours while catching up on what has happened in the last 10 years. However, they were more concerned about what has happened in the last two years with my husband's cancer, because they were shocked at how much my husband's physical appearance has changed since they had seen him last. We had a very nice afternoon visiting with our family members.
This evening after our company left us, we decided to go visit my cousin, because he had called earlier in the day, and we told him that if we had time we would stop by his house for a visit later on in the day. It was actually nice to have a day that was totally devoted to family. We had family members visit us; then we visited a family member. Sometimes, we get so busy in our everyday lives that we forget to visit our friends and family unless we receive a formal invitation. Sometimes, you just need to hop in your car or on the bus and go visit a family member. You might brighten his or her day!
